Documentation Guidelines

​ ​​Refer to the following list and the 2026 Grant Manual when compiling documentation for the application.2026 HCBG Manual Round 2- PDF

A complete application INCLUDES each of the following:

  • A completed application in Microsoft Power Apps with supplementary documentation.
  • Cost proposals from contractors.
  • Resumes for donated labor. Attach resumés for all persons to be valued for match purposes at more than the state minimum wage. See Chapter 8.8. Budget of the Grant Manual.
  • Resumes for contractors who provided cost proposals, and any architects, engineers, consultants, conservators, or other professionals who have either provided project drawings and specifications or will be providing project oversight or other services (if known at the time of application). Resumes should highlight experience working with historic buildings.
  • Copies of completed drawings and specifications, condition assessments, stabilization plans or historic structure reports, etc. if appropriate.
  • Photographs. See the photo guidelines in Chapter 6.10 of the Grant Manual, and our website at https://www.maine.gov/mhpc/programs/grants/historic-community-buildings
